Do you recognize yourself?

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in science, engineering, environment, sustainable development, management, or a related field

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 to 5 years in a role combining technical expertise and team coordination

  • Demonstrated expertise in multisectoral life cycle assessment (LCA)

  • Proficiency in GHG inventories and reduction target exercises (Science Based Targets, Bilan Carbone, etc.)

  • Ability to conduct technical reviews (TR) and quality control (QC) of LCA and GHG reports

  • Experience managing complex mandates and client relationships

  • Ability to coordinate a team, support professional development, and conduct annual reviews

  • Ability to translate analytical results into strategic recommendations and concrete actions

  • Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written, to serve our anglophone clients outside Québec

  • Knowledge of corporate responsibility frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP, SBTi, TCFD) – an asset

Tasks

Reporting to the Vice-President of the service, the Service Director ensures the leadership, smooth operations, and quality of services delivered. The role combines advanced technical expertise in LCA and GHG management with team coordination (15 people) and project management responsibilities.

The person holding the position will be responsible for:

Team Leadership & Service Management 30%

  • Participate in annual performance reviews: support the preparation of evaluation forms and lead review meetings with team members
  • Monitor professional development goals: hold development and follow-up meetings with team members
  • Analyze monthly dashboards and follow up on time tracking with team members as required
  • Manage project assignments: identify available and qualified resources, confirm their interest, and complete preliminary assignments in our information system
    Project Management 30% + 10% business development
  • Act as project manager: ensure objectives are met within timelines and budgets, mobilize the team, and maintain the overall quality and coherence of deliverables
  • Serve as the primary client contact for supervised mandates, keeping the account manager informed throughout delivery
  • Support the Business Development team in drafting strategic service proposals and preparing RFP responses, particularly for methodological and technical components (10%)

Project Management 30% + 10% business development

  • Act as project manager: ensure objectives are met within timelines and budgets, mobilize the team, and maintain the overall quality and coherence of deliverables
  • Serve as the primary client contact for supervised mandates, keeping the account manager informed throughout delivery
  • Support the Business Development team in drafting strategic service proposals and preparing RFP responses, particularly for methodological and technical components (10%)

Technical Expertise & Project Support 30%

  • Provide ad hoc technical support on LCA, GHG inventories, and reduction target exercises
  • Lead delivery mandates independently when required
  • Conduct technical reviews (TR) of LCA reports, GHG inventories, and reduction target studies, ensuring methodological rigor and result coherence
  • Perform quality control (QC) of deliverables: validate formatting, writing quality (French and English), and overall report coherence
  • Serve as the internal reference resource for complex technical and historical questions related to ongoing or past mandates
